Previously I described
pitfalls of the new Dutch public transport RFID-chipcard system, the OV-chipkaart. One of the major annoyances is the financial penalty when you forget to check out, which is rather easy to forget because unlike the systems in Hong Kong and London, the Dutch system is being phased in and thus the train stations are not yet equipped with turnstiles.
Now, there are options to get your money back, but each of the Dutch transport organizations has a different procedures and conditions for that. The makers of
vergetenuittechecken.nl saw an opportunity and provide an overview of the possibilities to get a refund if you forgot to check out, categorized per company.
As an exception this post is only relevant to Dutch readers. My apologies to the international audience.
